About Medlite Laser Treatment

This information is intended for general information only and should not be considered as medical advice on the part of Health-Tourism.com. Any decision on medical treatments, after-care or recovery should be done solely upon proper consultation and advice of a qualified physician.

Medlite Laser Treatment

Medlite laser is ideal for the treatment of Hori’s naevus (an acquired deep brownish pigmentation in the skin), enlarged pored, wrinkles, and fine lines pigmentation.

What causes these undesired spots?

Melanin is what provides our skin its color. The quantity of melanin in your skin is what determines if you have a light or dark skin tone. Pigmented lesions are dark in color since the melanin is concentrated in one section of the skin, often due to overexposure to the sun’s destructive ultraviolet rays.

What must you do before treatment with the MedLite laser?

It is essential to avoid sun exposure and to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen for 14 days before treatment. You must also inform your doctor of any health issues or history of abnormal scarring.

What can you expect during the treatment?

Many people describe the Medlite laser toning procedure as a tingling sensation. As the light shatters the pigment and diffuses the pigmented scars, the spot will turn white or gray for some minutes as the skin takes in the energy. Any post-treatment pain will feel the same as mild sunburn, and any redness will go away within one day or two as the skin goes back to its natural color.

What are some of the uses of Medlite Laser?

The preferred Medlite Laser Toning treatment may help to refresh and rejuvenate skin, tightening pores and firming skin while attaining a smoother texture and more even skin color. Medlite laser is suitable for all skin colors and skin types.

  • tattoo removal
  • treats brown blemishes
  • decrease brown marks like Nevus of Ito, pigmented moles, freckles, and Nevus of Ota freckles, pigmented moles, Nevus of Ota.
  • decrease the emergence of unwanted hair, and then delay the growth of hair for a few months.

Is Medlite Laser safe?

Medlite laser generates shorter pulses of light compared to the longer pulses of other lasers. Longer pulses of light used in other lasers often have a higher risk of side-effect. The Medlite laser doesn't cause scarring, blistering, burning, or pigmentation change on the skin.

Is the treatment painful?

The procedure using Medlite laser is quite comfortable as it doesn't heat the skin. The patient will only feel a tingling sensation during the treatment and anesthesia is unnecessary.

What are the risks of MedLite laser removal of brown spots?
  • The commonest risks of MedLite laser treatment for brown spots are a brief lightening or darkening of the pigment of the skin.
  • Skin infection, a flare of acne, burn or rarely scarring, which includes elevated and keloidal scars
  • Patients with a background of keloidal or abnormal scarring, who have taken Accutane in the past year or who are having medications or have health issues, which may compromise their ability to combat infection might not be candidates for MedLite laser treatment.

What is the duration of the procedure?

Medlite laser treatment is extremely fast in treating large areas, like legs and back. The duration of the treatment is determined by the location, size, and the number of freckles or age spots on the targeted area. The procedure might take 15 to 45 minutes.

How many Medlite laser treatments are needed to get the desired results?

Rejuvenation of the skin takes place slowly over time. The collagen in the skin will grow within six to 12 months; thus, the progress will be noticed over a period of time. Some pigmentation freckles or pigmentation may need two or more treatments to get the desired result. Superficial marks, like freckles or age spots, may be cured faster than deeper and complex lesions such as Nevus of Ota. Your cosmetic dermatologist can advise you the number of treatments to expect.

How can you better maintain the results?

After the initial procedure series, many patients return for Medlite treatments monthly or four times annually to maintain the good results. This anti-aging maintenance program is a wise investment in the long-term look of your skin and a clinically verified method to improve signs of photodamage and also rejuvenate ongoing collagen loss.
