International Hospital - Overview

Located in Istanbul, Turkey's largest city, the International Hospital is a multi-specialty medical center providing treatment and care in most healthcare specialties. The 118-bed hospital was established in 1989 and it is part of the Acibadem Healthcare Group, which owns 11 hospitals in Turkey.

Medical services and treatment range from cardiology to neurosurgery, oncology, cosmetic surgery orthopedics and more. The hospital was renovated in 2006 and now features comfortable examination rooms, extra private intensive care rooms, dialysis units and emergency observation units The 1.5 Tesla MR provides advanced imaging.

Private rooms are available at the hospital. The rooms have internet access and a phone. Facilities at the hospital include a cafeteria, bank/ ATM and a pharmacy. Patients can take advantage of private transportation to and from the airport and their local hotel.

As its name suggests, the International Hospital treats patients from all over the world. The International Patient Center is the “one-stop” service unit offering assistance in all matters relating to international patients. The International Patient Center team looks after initial enquiries, registration and orientation. Staff can assist patients by arranging doctors’ appointments and medical consultations as well as dealing with travel, visa and hotel needs. English, Russian, Arabic, French and other languages are spoken at the hospital and interpreters are available if needed.
