Lokmanya Hospital - Overview

Lokmanya Medical Foundation was established in 1974. It is a social-medical organization and a public charitable trust located in Pune, India. It offers services in almost every area of Medicine. Lokmanya Medical Foundation is presently running two Hospitals which are both located in Pune, India. One is the Lokmanya Heart Institute with 150 beds and the other the New Visions Centre for Orthopaedics, Traumatology and Spine Care with 100 beds.

Lokmanya Hospitals are equipped with a wide range of diagnostic facilities from blood tests to whole body scans. Examples of these equipments are digital and conventional x-ray, MRI, and CT scan. It also offers arthroscopy and video endoscopy, a cardiac cath lab, and a cardiac operation theatre specifically used for cardiac care patients. Other facilities include computerized EEG, 2-D Echo, multi-channel Colour Doppler, and Computerized Stress test. 

It has served and is continually serving patients from India as well as patients from all over the world. In more recent years, it has teamed up with a Swedish internal hospital chain. It is recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by the Department of Science and Technology and the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research of India.
