He performed a total of 705 liver transplants (94% adults) from both living (75%) and cadaveric (25%) donors, including those transplanted during his fellowship at RUSH University in Chicago (n= 86).
And in addition, there were 340 kidney transplants, mostly from living donors. Of these, 12 performed combined liver and kidney transplants from cadaveric or living donors.
He is currently the Organ Transplantation Program Manager at GÜVEN Hospital in Ankara. As of March 2018, 145 liver transplants (118 of them from live donors) with 1, 3 and 5-year patient survival rates of 91.2%, 86% and 83% were performed consecutively at the TRUST Hospital here.(ELTR data analysis).
Since 1997, he has been performing surgery on complicated hepato-pancreato-biliary patients as well as organ transplantation.
