Lanna Hospital - Overview
The Lanna Hospital in Chiangmai, Thailand is a private hospital catering to acute medical cases. It is ISO 9002 certified and is currently working on earning an accreditation from the Hospital Accreditation Thailand. The hospital was established in 1976 by a group of investors composed of lawyers, businessmen, and doctors. It started out with just 60 beds.
In 1981, the hospital expanded and added a 4.5 storey wing. Having 65 additional in-patient beds, this new wing enabled the hospital to accommodate more patients. Today, the hospital has more than 4 buildings and 180 beds. In 1995, the hospital became part of the Thonburi Hospital Network. It gained its ISO 9002 certification and ISO 9001:2000 certification in 1999 and 2003 respectively.
The hospital offers services in general health, OB-GYNE, Physiotherapy, Dentistry, Radiology, Surgery, and many others. The hospital provides services to locals and patients from nearby areas. It also receives a good number of international patients from all over the world annually.
