I am Alexa Vallanatos, I am a trans-woman. I started my transition 6
years ago, and it was both a nice and difficult transition at the same time. I
have 2 kids, one of them was here with me during the surgery.
My entire life I felt different, and over time, I met other trans women,
people who felt exactly like I did. I said: ‘Okay, this is who I am, this is
the right direction’, but how can I do this?

Since the first moment I stepped in, I just felt happiness. I was not
nervous or had mixed feelings, I just felt happy. They changed my life for
sure, they gave me the chance to live my life as I always wanted. What else can
you wish for?
To be in a clinic where everybody takes care of you. I mean, for sure,
the next surgery is going to be also here. Now I have no reason to be worried
or even ashamed of myself, I feel so free. I feel like my whole life is now in
check!
