After completing his M.Ch; Dr. Choudhary went to work with Dr. T.S. Mahant and joined Batra Hospital, New Delhi as a Consultant in Cardiac Surgery in January 1997. He was selected for the Starr Ahmed International Fellowship program at the St. Vincent’s Hospital and Research Center in Portland, Oregon, USA in 2000. During the 2 year period, he got an opportunity to work with Dr. Albert Starr, who performed the first heart valve replacement surgery in the world and designed the Starr Edwards Ball and Cage Valve. He has worked at some of the leading hospitals in India like S.M.S Jaipur, SGPGI, Lucknow and Batra Hospital.
During his stay in USA he got to work with Dr. Storm Floten, Dr. Aftab Ahmed and Dr. Jeffery Swanson. During the fellowship, he got extensive experience in aortic aneurysm surgery, valve repair and replacement, minimal invasive surgery and also has hands on experience on Da Vinci Robotic System. |
