Dr. Mati Bakon, MD., is the Head of the Neuro-Interventional Service, Diagnostic Imaging Department since 2000. He graduated from the Sackler Medical School at TAU, and specialized in the field of Diagnostic Radiology, Neuro-Radiology, and Invasiove Neuro-Radiologya at the RUSH University Medical Center, Chicago, University of Cincinnati and Beth Israel Medical Center NY.
The interventional cerebral angiograms, performed at the Neuro- Interventional Service are complex procedures that require collaboration of a highly skilled team consisting of a neuro-interventionalist, anesthesiologist, nurses and technicians. These procedures are done in cooperation with the admitting departments, mainly neurosurgery, and require post procedural management in intensive-care units. The Neuro-interventional team operates a clinic on site in which patients are assessed preoperatively as well as followed up post operatively. |
