Professional Experience

He underwent advanced neurosurgical training in Singapore and in the United Kingdom, obtaining F.R.C.S. (Surgical Neurology) in 1996. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.
He sub-specialized in spinal surgery while he was in Singapore General Hospital and continued in this work while practising in the Lam Wah Ee Hospital. He has kept abreast of medical advances and has undergone:
- Interventional Neuroradiology Attachment in Xuanwu Hospital, Beijing
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) courses in Singapore and Charit?Hospital, Berlin
- Spine Surgery courses in Davos and Munich
On his return to Malaysia, he worked in Lam Wah Ee Hospital and Penang General Hospital before joining Gleneagles Medical Centre. He adopts a minimally invasive approach through a microsurgical technique as he believes this is the key to minimal blood loss, early discharge, early rehabilitation and early return to work. |
