Dr. Evren Keles was born in Ankara in 1964. In 1978 he completed Saint - Joseph High School and in 1987 he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Hacettepe University. He completed his Brain and Nerve Surgery specialism training at Marmara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurosurgery. He completed his residency in Seattle at the University of Washington, Department of Neurosurgery in Neuro-Oncology. Between 1997-2006, he worked as a faculty member in the surgical treatment of brain tumours at the University of California, San Francisco. His areas of expertise are surgical and oncological treatment of brain tumours, cortical and sub cortical functional brain mapping during the operation in order to determine the movement and speech centres and surgical treatment of epilepsy associated with brain tumours. Dr Keleş is the author of around 30 chapters in books and he has over 40 scientific publications, he has also taken part in the Journal of Neuro-Oncology and Neuro-Oncology, board of editors of scientific publications. Since 2007, Assoc. Dr. Evren Keles, has been working at the American Hospital, Department of Neurosurgery, Surgical treatment of brain tumours. |
