Dr Wong manages the full range of foot and ankle problems including total ankle replacement, and has been working on developing new techniques in the treatment of slipping peroneal tendons and calcaneal fractures. Other frequently managed problems include ankle instability, Achilles tendon injuries and the treatment of osteochondral disorders of the ankle. |

Consultant Orthopaedic Sports Surgeon & Consultant Foots and Ankle Surgeon, Mount Alvernia Hospital.
He was awarded the Ministry of Health HMDP Scholarship to train at the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Centre for Sports Medicine, specialising in treatment in disorders of the Foot and Ankle.
Dr Wong was previously Senior Consultant and Director of the Sports Medicine Centre, Alexandra Hospital.
He also conducted the Foot and Ankle Clinics, and ran the High Risk Diabetic Foot Clinic in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team.
Dr Wong is also a visiting consultant at the National University Hospital.
Clinical Lecturer to the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and a regular lecturer and past committee member for the Specialist Training Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery.
Instructor for the Advanced Trauma Life Support Course and has been a regular lecturer at the School of Health Sciences, Nanyang Polytechnic. |
