Johns Hopkins Singapore International Medical Centre - Overview

The John Hopkins Singapore (JHS) International Medical Centre operates under the command of the John Hopkins Hospital in the United States. It is the first John Hopkins clinical healthcare facility to be established outside of the United States. JHS is also in joint venture with the National Healthcare Group.

JHS is a licensed medical facility with emphasis on oncology care. The centre provides inpatient and outpatients services for locals and international patients, medical intensive care, laboratory, general internal medicine, health screenings, as well as hospital and retail pharmacy.

JHS has a bed capacity of 30, and is housed in the complex of the Tan Tock Seng Hospital. The centre is equipped with state of the art oncology medical technologies and is utilizing recent therapies and research results in approaching cancer diseases. The centre’s scope of cancer treatments includes the breast, ovarian, uterine, cervical, lung, throat, nasopharynx, stomach, liver, kidney, colon and lymphoma.

Each international patient visiting Johns Hopkins is assigned a personal patient service coordinator who is available to provide any needed assistance throughout the patients stay at Hopkins. The attentive service does not end with the patient's departure from Johns Hopkins - the patient service coordinator will remain the single point of contact after a patients visit to Johns Hopkins for any follow-up appointments and exchange of medical information.

Fluent in more than 20 languages, our personalized patient service coordinators welcome patients from over 100 countries each year. The patient service coordinators assist international patients by scheduling medical appointments with the most appropriate Hopkins medical expert and provide language interpretation services throughout the patient's visit at Johns Hopkins. In between medical appointments, international patients are welcome to relax in the International Executive Lounge location in the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center. Internet access and complementary international newspapers are available.
