- In a career span of 32 years, he was in the teaching line for almost 17 years.
- He started practicing actively after he joined as a Senior Specialist in Neurology.
- He started his career as an Insurance Medical Officer at ESI Hospital, Hassan.
- He later became a Medical Officer in the Accident and Emergency Divison of National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, popularly known as NIMHANS.
- In the year1987, he joined as a Lecturer in Medicine and taught at Karnataka Medical College(KMC), Hubli.
- He joined as a Lecturer in Neurology at the renowned Bangalore Medical College.
- He went abroad and started practicing as a Senior Specialist in Neurology.

- He was offered to render his services as a Special Neurologist at the Bahrain Specialist Hospital, in Bahrain. Here again, apart from practicing, he had to teach the students. He practically demonstrated procedures like nerve conduction studies, EMG and EEG to the students.
- He worked as a Consultant Neurologist at various hospitals. He offered his service at the Mallya, Wockhardt and Ramakrishna Hospital. While teaching as an Associate Professor of Neurology at MVJ Medical College he was also looking after the OPD section of the department.
