About

Terence McGinnie has been involved in recovery from addiction for nearly 30 years. He has worked within both the voluntary and private sectors and started working for a charity which helped alcoholics and their families and later worked for the Priory group of Hospitals.
He began with Priory in 1991 and within 5 years, rose to the level of Addictions Programme Manager; a position he kept until he left in 2006.
Terry has lectured to peers and groups of GPs/Consultant Psychiatrists about addiction, has had articles published in the press and has made radio broadcasts on both local radio and the BBC. He is a qualified counsellor on the United Kingdom Register of Independent Counsellors, is accredited by the Federation of Drug and Alcohol Professionals and holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Studies.
Terry is Nova Vida’s UK based counsellor and facilitates aftercare from his Bromley practice for our UK patients. He visits Nova Vida regularly to keep abreast of the clinical developments and to provide locum cover when any of the counselling team are absent. |
