Major Positions Held:
Doctor Hernandez is the coordinator of the Urogynecology Clinic at the Santo Tomas Hospital, one of the main public hospitals in Panama. She is member of the gynecology staff with functions in preoperatory evaluation, endoscopic and urogynecologic surgery since 2003. Also she is the coordinator of the Urogynecology Unit at the Punta Pacifica Femme Healthcare Group Clinic (suite 601). This Clinic has equipments for urinary incontinence diagnosis and treatments like Urodynamics studies, treatment with Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and surgery for pelvic floor dysfunction including the use of meshes for pelvic
floor reparations. She also worked as ObGyn and Urogynecologist at de San Miguel Arcangel Integrated
Hospital in 2003 to 2007 and at the San Fernando Hospital in 2007 to 2008. Dr Hernandez is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Medical School of University of Panama, Columbus University and Latin University in Panama City. She was speaker in multiple national and international
Congress and courses in all the urogynecology topics. |

Education

Doctor Hernandez received her medical degree at the Medical School of the University of Panama in 1998. In 2003 completed the course of the specialization in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Hospital Santo Tomás, Panama city. In 2006, she finished a sub specialization in Urogynecology and Pelvic floor dysfunction at the National Institute of Perinatology “Isidro Espinosa de Los Reyes” in Mexico city and at the Autonomous University of Mexico, graduated with honors. Her specialty combines that of a
gynecologist and a urologist, combining expertise in treating women's reproductive systems with that of treatment of the urinary tract, especially urinary incontinence and various forms of pelvic organ prolapse. |
