Dr. Huete graduated from the University of Costa Rica with a degree in medicine and surgery. Remaining at the University of Costa Rica, he completed a rotary internship that included time in internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, and general surgery. Dr. Huete continued his education completing a residency in general surgery at the Hospital Dr. R.A. Calderón Guardia, where he served his last year as head of residents, while studying general surgery at the University of Costa Rica. He later studied advanced laparoscopic surgery at the Hospital Ángeles de las Lomas in Mexico, and Hospital Calixto García in Cuba. Dr. Huete has maintained a private practice in San Jose for almost 10 years specializing in general and laparoscopic surgery. |
