Education Dr. Zaidman graduated from the Medical University Pediatric Faculty in Russia, where she also completed a pediatric residency and received and PhD degree in medicine. In 1998, Dr. Zaidman immigrated to Israel, and in 1999 she was certified in Israel as a physician.
Professional Experience From 1999 to 2002 Dr. Zaidman did a pediatric residency in the Department of Pediatrics at Rambam, and from 2003 to 2005, she had a fellowship in pediatric hemato-oncology at Rambam. After her fellowship, Dr. Zaidman remained in the Pediatric Hemato-oncology Department as an Attending Physician, mainly in charge of BMT patients.
In 2008 she had a second fellowship in pediatric BMT at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Since 2009, Dr. Zaidman has been in charge of the Pediatric BMT Unit in the Pediatric Hemato-oncological Department. In this capacity, she has led the unit to achievements at the international level, with over 200 transplantations performed on young patients with malignant and non-malignant diseases, with excellent results.
Memberships Dr. Zaidman is a board member of the Israeli Pediatric Hemato-Oncology Society (ISPHO), and is very active in the international BMT community. She is a member of the European BMT and American BMT societies, and is active in teaching BMT and pediatric hematology-oncology to students, nurses and physicians not only at Rambam, but in other areas of Israel and other countries. She has published several articles in the field of pediatric bone marrow transplantations.
