About	- Dr. Péter Iván Karaffa, in oncological surgery, he gained experience mainly in the field of tumours of the digestive organs, especially in the care of tumours of intestinal origin, liver tumours and stomach tumours, he prefers laparoscopic operations during his operations. - The laparoscopic technique can also be an advantage for the patient in the surgical treatment of benign diseases (removal of the gallbladder, surgical treatment of hernias, adrenal gland surgery, treatment of hiatus hernia, intestinal surgery), so he is making great efforts to find wider application.
Education	- Dr. Péter Iván Karaffa graduated from the Faculty of General Medicine of Semmelweis University in 2002.
Professional Experience	- During his final year at university he gained experience in the field of emergency patient care as an ambulance attendant. - 2002-2007. From 2007 to 2008 he worked as a surgical assistant at the UN Central Hospital in Budapest and from 2007 to 2008 as a trainee specialist at the Department of Surgery of the State Health Center. - From 2009 until today he was working in the Department of Surgery at the B.-A.-Z. Regional Hospital. - In 2009, he passed the general surgery exam, was appointed associate professor of surgery in 2017 and chief physician in 2021.
