Dr Anna Tan is a Consultant in Refractive Surgery, Corneal and External Eye Diseases, & the Program Director (Ophthalmology Residency Program) at National University Hospital. She is also an Instructor in Ophthalmology in the National University of Singapore.

Besides comprehensive Ophthalmology, Dr Tan is also experienced in treating cornea and external eye diseases. She is accredited to perform laser refractive surgery as well, including bladeless LASIK. Her other area of interest is in micropulse laser transscleral cyclophotocoagulation for the treatment of refractory glaucoma.Dr Anna Tan graduated from National University of Singapore in 2002 and excelled academically. She was on the Dean's List for Outstanding Academic Performance in 1999 and 2002 and won the Eli Lilly Gold medal and Book prize in Psychological Medicine in 2001. She completed her Ophthalmology training in 2009 and clinched the Best Candidate award for the sections of Glaucoma, Cataract, Oculoplastics as well as Corneal and External Eye Diseases in the exit examination.

Dr Anna is currently involved in various phase 2 and 3 studies including:

A Multicenter, Randomized, Double-masked, Parallel Group Study to evaluate the Safety & Efficacy of Cyclosporin (Restasis) administered four times daily in Patients with Primary Pterygium
GALILEO Study: A Randomized Double Masked Sham-controlled Phase 3 Study of VEGF trap-Eye in Subjects with Macular Oedema secondary to CRVO
A Randomized Controlled Trial on the Safety and Efficacy of Micropulse Transscleral Cyclophotocoagulation in comparison with Conventional Diode Laser Transscleral Cyclophotocoagulation in Refractory Glaucoma
