Major Positions Held:
Doctor Cachafeiro served as Chief of residents in Gastroenterology at the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Nutrition in Mexico, from 1999 through 2000. He also was a Clinical Instructor of Gastroenterology at the Pan – American University, in Mexico DF, in 1999. Chief of residents of the Internal Medicine service of the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social, from 1995 through 1996. From 1994 through 1996, he was the assistant professor of Clinical Propaedeutics and Physiopathology of the medical department of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama.

Doctor Cachafeiro received his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama in 1990. In 1996, completed an Internal Medicine residency at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Hospital Complex of the Caja del Seguro Social. Later, in the same year, completed a fellowship in Pancreatic diseases and Gastrointestinal Motility at the Department of Gastroenterology of the Salvador Zubirán National Institute of Nutrition in Mexico and a post graduated course in Liver and Alcohol. In 1997 completed an update course in Gastroenterology at the Mexican Association of Gastroenterology in Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. In 2000, attended a course in Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy at the Salvador Zubirán Institute.
