Chaophya Hospital - overview
The Chaophya Hospital is a tertiary private hospital in Bangkok, Thailand. It was named after to its adjacent Chaophya River. It has been in operation for 15 years. It was established by Dr. Kovit Patakayon and his colleagues. Ever since it was established, the hospital has served patients from all over Thailand as well as international patients. The hospital is spread across a total land area of 5.5 acres on the west bank of Chaophya River.
Its medical consultants are primarily from Siriraj Hospital, Thailand’s first and largest medical school. Chaophya Hospital has gained an ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2001.
The hospital has a Cardiac Program, Spine Centre, Gastrointestinal-Liver Centre, Check-up Programs, Aesthetic Centre, 24-hour Eye Centre, and Dental Centre. The room rates vary from V.I.P., Premium, Exclusive, to Suite. For international patients, the hospital has tied up with the Bann Rim Num Condominium for accommodation services. It is situated within the hospital’s compound and has easy access to shopping malls and department stores.
Today, Chaophya Hospital is specializing in cell therapy for end-stage ischemic heart patients. Since March 2005, the hospital has treated successfully more than 80 patients using this method. These 80 patients come from different countries including the US, UK, and Southeast Asia and Middle East regions.
