Nova Vida means “new life” in Portuguese. The name Nova Vida reflects the beginning of a new life. Our programme design incorporates the best of traditional and progressive treatment programmes offered around the globe.
Nova Vida provides you with quiet time away from the stress and distractions of modern day living. This quiet time can be used for reflection, contemplation, meditation and reconsideration of life goals and dreams, essential for creating a new life. A period of time away from the substance, behaviour or trigger is also essential.
Nova Vida offers a highly effective alternative to the traditional conveyor belt treatment within the addictions recovery system. From start to finish our aim is to ensure you have a smooth and unique experience and this includes the return flight which we will arrange and this cost is included in the treatment package. This means you will benefit from a hassle free, non- bureaucratic, state of the art treatment that works, is tried and tested, individualised to suit you not the label others have given you. You will be treated with respect and dignity but live within necessary boundaries to provide you with safety.
The main Nova Vida building offers splendid views over the surrounding area. Set in 8 acres of land it offers many suitable spots for quiet contemplation in the most serene of environments.
The residence is modern, spacious and cool in summer and warm in winter. Equipped with a large swimming pool, recreational area and quiet lounge it is the perfect environment in which to continue the therapy with peers and to work on the individual assignments set as part of the programme.
Recreation and outside activities are an important aspect of treatment and Nova Vida offers a number of individual and group based activities for those hours outside of the core programme.
The swimming pool offers a chance to relax and exercise; the local gym (with a personal trainer) together with Tai Chi and massage give an opportunity to start the process of returning to a level of fitness, and the near-by beaches and hills for gentle walks in serene surroundings.
Accommodation is in double rooms with en-suite bathrooms reflecting research that indicated the benefits of sharing a room in treatment for outweighing the isolation that single occupancy often brings.
