||Dr. Rabinowitz is South African born and has lived in Israel since 1987.
He has worked as a psychiatrist in charge of psychiatric outpatients' services in South Africa and Israel, and has invested in the development and teaching of professional skills and approaches especially in ambulatory and community mental health care. His clinical experience also includes emergency and liaison psychiatry, and includes developing a community clinic for the treatment of drug abuse and dependence in South Africa. He has also been involved in clinical psychopharmacology studies.
His other special interests include medical ethics, medical education and sexology.
He has been involved in faculty and national committees in this regard, has developed workshops for training in communication skills for hospital staff using simulated patients, role-play and video production, and runs an elective course in human sexuality in the Faculty of Medicine. He has published in these fields.
