Mr Ahmed is a Consultant Surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial College London. He set up and heads the bariatric and metabolic surgery unit which is now a leading unit in the UK designated as an NHS preferred provider and provisionally recognised as an International Bariatric Surgery Centre of Excellence ASMBS.
He trained at University College London and Middlessex Hospital School of Medicine. Prior to his Consultant appointment he undertook extensive training in laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery in both the UK and USA.
Ahmed’s main areas of interest are;
Laparoscopic weight loss / bariatric surgery
Laparoscopic general surgery eg gallbladder / hernias etc
Emergency surgery eg appendictomy
