KK Women's And Children's Hospital - overview
KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (KKH) is a medical facility offering specialized healthcare services particularly to women, babies and children. It is a large hospital with a capacity of 830 inpatients. KKH employs over 300 specialists, over 300 paramedics and over 1,000 nurses. KKH has been providing medical care since 1858 and has developed to be an integrated women’s and children’s hospital from a general hospital over 150 years ago.
KKH is major tertiary referral center for complex and simple medical concerns that affect women and children. These include high-risk obstetrics, gynecological cancer treatments, neonatology, pediatric bone marrow transplant, and pediatric open heart surgeries, among others. KKH is the also the first hospital in Singapore to provide 24-hour emergency services for children.
