Ceylinco Healthcare Center - Overview

Ceylinco Healthcare Services Ltd (CHSL) is Sri Lanka's first and only private Radiation Treatment Center.

The Ceylinco Radiation Treatment Centre offers the best in Cancer Treatment and well experienced medical staff as well as the latest equipment for Cancer Treatment.
The Centre is equipped with Sri Lanka's first Linear Accelerator, the international ‘Gold Standard' in the delivery of accurate, radiation therapy for the treatment of many forms of cancer.

The Ceylinco Healthcare Center is affiliated to the Washington Hospital Center (WHC) which is the largest teaching hospital in Washington DC, USA.

CHSL is a licensed medical facility with emphasis on oncology care. The centre provides inpatient and outpatients services for locals and international patients, medical intensive care, laboratory, general internal medicine, health screenings, as well as hospital and retail pharmacy.

CHSL has a bed capacity of 16, and the centre is equipped with state of the art oncology medical technologies The centre's scope of cancer treatments includes the breast, ovarian, uterine, cervical, lung, throat, nasopharynx, stomach, liver, kidney, colon and lymphoma.

The Ceylinco Radiation Treatment Unit offers external beam treatments using Sri Lanka's first Linear Accelerator, Brachytherapy which involves internal radiation, Radioactive Iodine therapy and Chemotherapy. In early 2008 the Ceylinco Radiation Treatment Unit carried out the first ever Intensity-modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT) in Sri Lanka and now carries out IMRT on a regular basis.

The six-storey, 19,000 square-foot Ceylinco Radiation Treatment Unit comprises of a solid concrete bunker built to specifications provided by the Atomic Energy Authority, the Linear Accelerator unit and two reception areas on the Ground Floor. The upper floors house the Brachytherapy unit, Mould Room, CT Scanner and CT Simulator rooms, Computerised Treatment Planning unit, Iodine Treatment unit, doctors' rooms, two wards and individual patient rooms and suites.
